About
Country Seat Upholstery Studio and Yvonne:
Leaving the stress of the competitive garment industry behind
in Toronto, Yvonne Brooks came to Wallacetown over 33 years ago where
she turned a hobby into a well established career.
Using
her career experience in the textile industry, Yvonne opened Country
Seat Upholstery Studio. She works in her RR1 Wallacetown
Studio, covering a wide range of projects from the upholstering
of contemporary furniture to restoring antiques and everything
in between. To the comfort of her customers, she also provides
a range of services from, marine work, trailer cushions and tractor
seats to the odd piece like restoring an old “sleigh/cutter”
seat and the restoration of an extremely old baby buggy. The variety
of service she provides is part of what makes Yvonne‘s business
unique.
“In
any one day I can be restoring a treasured antique, replacing
side windows of a boat, recovering a truck or tractor seat or
being
able to solve problems for her customers is part of what makes
here work enjoyable. Clients may see something as impossible,
then they bring it to Yvonne, who sees the beauty it can be. Then
with her tender loving care, she can make a client joyful when
they see their finished piece.
Yvonne has had over
22 years of success by putting professional care and respect into
each project and each customer.
In building her business, she has relied on her many years of
experience gained as a wholesale sales manager with responsibilities
that included fashion presentations and special labeled programs
for national retailers.
She receives customers and their referrals from as far away as
Windsor, Ottawa, Toronto, Niagara on the Lake and Pelle Island.
